At Hereward Primary School, we make Music an enjoyable learning experience. We are committed to delivering an effective music curriculum which is accessible for all children. Our intent is that children gain a firm understanding of what music is through listening, singing, playing, evaluating, analysing and composing across a wide variety of historical periods, styles, traditions and musical genres. We ensure children understand the value and importance of music in the wider community, as we believe music enables children to better understand the world they live in. Music is a practical, creative subject which enhances the lives and learning of all children. At Hereward, our aim is to promote enthusiasm and enjoyment of music in all its forms.
